Yosemite National Park is a United States National Park spanning portions of Tuolumne, Mariposa and Madera counties in Northern California.

Yosemite Road Trip
Little girl and I aim to visit Yosemite National Park for a day and plan to go there and drive back on the same day. We packed as much as we can with hot drinks (both coffee and tea), sandwiches and clothes in the car and set off at 2.30am.

Tunnel View
We aimed to watch the sunrise at Tunnel View but the weather was not in our favor. Despite the cloudy morning, we stayed there for an hour and we took our time to take the magnificent photograph of the great Tunnel View. The Tunnel View is definitely the first stop for everyone in Yosemite. It is a scenic overlook on State Route 41 in Yosemite National Park. The iconic and expansive view of Yosemite Valley from the viewpoint has been seen and documented by visitors since it opened in 1933.

Bridalveil Fall
Not far from Tunnel View, we drove to our next destination and you will see the Bridalvil Fall in the distance.

Bridalveil Fall is one of the most prominent waterfalls in the Yosemite Valley in California, seen yearly by millions of visitors to Yosemite National Park. The waterfall is 188 meters in height and flows year round.

There’s a paved walkway from the parking lot to the base of the waterfall. However, during the winter time, the paved walkway will be wet and slippery.
Sentinel/Cook’s Meadow Loop
If you do not mind taking a walk, this trail is a flat, easy hike that takes you around and through a pair of meadows and includes multiple views of Yosemite Falls and Half Dome. This is a great intro-to-Yosemite hike, especially if you’ve just escaped from a city and need to de-stress.

Half Dome
Half Dome is a granite dome at the eastern end of Yosemite Valley in Yosemite National Park, California and is a well-known rock formation in the park, named for its distinct shape.

Yosemite Falls
Yosemite Falls is the highest waterfall in Yosemite National Park, dropping a total of 2,425 feet from the top of the upper fall to the base of the lower fall. We were there to watch the sunset and watch the day ends right in front of our eyes.

Glacier Point
Glacier Point is a viewpoint above Yosemite Valley, in California, United States and is located on the south wall of Yosemite Valley at an elevation of 7,214 feet, 3,200 feet above Half Dome Village.
Yosemite Valley, Gate of Valley
Yosemite Valley is a glacial valley in Yosemite National Park in the western Sierra Nevada mountains of Central California.
El Capitan
El Capitan is a vertical rock formation in Yosemite National Park, located on the north side of Yosemite Valley, near its western end.

Final Thoughts
Our one-day trip to Yosemite was a long drive and eye-opening. It is a trip that will ignite your inner passion in photography and everything you see is so majestic and unreal. We love Yosemite National Park and you can see it on our Instagram. I hope this Yosemite day trip guide helps you in your planning to your holiday/journey to Yosemite National Park.
