Sunrise at Telunas Beach Resort
Day two at Telunas Beach Resort, Little Girl and I woke up in the dark to watch the first sunrise at Telunas. Hoping to see a clear sky with sunrise, it was a little cloudy that morning and the sun was just behind the clouds and mountains. Nonetheless, the view is still beautiful.
Around the Telunas Beach Resort
We took a slower pace on day two due to the fatigue and regular long working hours. We have our breakfast in the same dining hall and took a slow stroll along the Telunas beach together.
We began exploring around further away from the resort and started to find some most incredible encounters. We saw hundreds of thousands of small crabs on the beach. From far, they look like ants. Since they are so small, it is impossible to catch a proper photo of them but I am certain that we did capture some great videos of them.
Later on, we discover hermit crabs too. We were actually walking back to the resort and I notice the “stones” moved on its own. We only know they are hermit crabs after a while.
After lunch, we hiked into the jungle behind the shore and started climb upwards steeply. We actually do not know what are we going to encounter as this is not in our plan. We just want to explore around and see what’s hidden in this thick jungle. We saw some man-made paths to the low-rope course and obviously, they are from the Telunas Beach Resort as we remember seeing them on their website. And later, we found some red water tanks that serve as fresh water in the resort. We soon retreated back to our bed due to a serious amount of mosquitoes chasing after us.
The sun is finally out from the clouds and we are ready to get some suntan and a swim. However, the sea/water level at the shore is very shallow and we took a long walk out from the shore and the level is still not high enough. This is especially great for families with children actually.
Feeling a little bit excited, I decided to try the dock jumping with Little Girl. Well, at least I tried to ask Little Girl to jump with me, I ended up jumping twice at the dock myself. Overall, the day was great and all I need is to catch some sleep soon.
Back at the Telunas resort
I took a nap in the hammock and surprisingly, it is comfortable and windy.
Sunset at Telunas Beach Resort
Dinner is ready to be served when we heard the knocking sound of the wooden block from the dining hall. On the way to the dining hall, we are once again greeted by the amazing sunset view in front of us.
Traditional Shrimping at Telunas
An hour after dinner, we decided to try the traditional shrimping. One of the Telunas staff show us around, taught us how to hunt and spear the shrimps at the shores at night and to be honest, I’m surprised it works! We have a few catches and I decided to hunt for crabs & fishes too.
[to be continue – day three]
